Thanks to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities we contracted with several staff for our Self-Determination Project from 3/1/04 to 6/30/05.  

Linda Thompson was our full-time Self-Advocate Project Coordinator and Maria Marquez & Rebecca Finn were our South & North Helpers along with Sherry Beamer as a Resource Helper all part-time.

They traveled around the state training People First Chapters and self-advocates to train and help their peers self-direct and make good choices in their IPPs.  As well, they trained self-advocates to be buddies to other self-advocates so that IPPs would be a powerful tool for them.
